    The company that put the box together gets 5 stars. The 3 star review is based on the end product that I brewed so there could be some user error there. The price is right. It has a very strong spice taste. I may not have added the pumpkin at the appropriate time.

    Have brewed several beer kits from Boomchugalug, and there quality and consistency are always the best. I have tried several different recipes, but none of them produced the style of Pumpkin Ale that I wanted. This recipe was a very big hit with all my friends, and I din't receive a single negative comment from even the most picky of beer drinkers.

    I did use a liquid yeast instead of the dry yeast supplied. I prefer to make a yeast starter for all my beers, so a quick trip to the supply store for some Irish Ale yeast to make my starter with was all it took.

    The instructions have you start the tincture on brew day. By the time I was ready to bottle, the viscosity of my tincture was that of cold honey. I believe it was the vanila bean that disolved in the vodka completely that thickened up the tincture. I was able to dilute it with some more vodka, so it would mix well with the beer on bottling day, and it worked well. Since then I delay the start of the tincture until about 7 days before bottling, and I put the ingredients in a small mesh loose tea ball, and that seems to let the flavors out without letting the tincture get too thick.

    I will be brewing this again next fall, as all of my friends are asking for a repeat.

    Good beer. Not as pumpkin as I would have liked. Seems to be a spice beer with the addition of a little pumpkin. Not sure it really added anything to the finished product.

    Arrived on time and the quality of the ingredients were fresh and looked recently packed. It smelled great and instructions were simple. After brewing the beer and letting it mature, the beer tasted just how I thought pumpkin beer should taste like, full of flavor and nice consistent color. I made it for the season and it quickly was a favorite among friends and family. It did not last long. I would buy next season.

    I'm ordering my second batch now, at the insistence of my wife. Overall, I really enjoyed the beer as much I'm capable of enjoying a pumpkin beer(my wife is a huge fan and we live overseas, so this brings us a taste of home). The whole experience of working with Jasper's Homebrew is worth 5+ stars. The kit is complete with easy to follow instructions. It's extremely strait forward, perfect for a beginner or a long time brewer looking for a fall batch. Overall, A+ experience from ordering, timely delivery, awesome ingredients, and in the end a smooth, multi layered pumpkin beer.
